I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and spent time with your friends and family. We layed low this weekend, which was necessary after such a busy August. We did manage to get out and grab some coffee yesterday morning (coffee for us and chocolate milk for the kiddos). It was raining most of the day, which was perfect for staying home, watching movies, and getting in some blog time 🙂
Now that Charlotte is back into the preschool routine, I feel like I can get back to my steady workout routine plus meal planning and prepping. Chopping vegetables is so tedious but I’m always so appreciative when I have that all done before dinner time rolls around. And when things like that are prepared, I don’t have an excuse but to eat them. So we will see how it goes! The hubby is traveling a lot this month, so I have to be extra on top of things and I don’t want to fall into the habit of getting take-out more than once a week.
Anywho, today I wanted to share another quick at-home workout for the lower body! Plus it’s a big muscle group, so you’ll be burning lots of calories with this one!
Perform each exercise for 1 Minute (For the single leg exercises perform for 30 seconds then switch legs). Rest about 30 seconds between each set and perform 3x through. This can be a great stand alone workout when you are short on time,or might also be fun to do perform a run or bike ride to get your muscles all activated and warmed up. Also, feel free to play around with the tempo of the exercises…….go really slow, speed it up, add some pulses, or go at neutral speed. This will keep the moves fresh and challenge your muscles in different ways.
