Hello there friends!
Well, I have to say this has been the longest month EVER with the kiddos out of school! Haha! Don’t get me wrong, I love these little munchkins, but I never realized what a difference two half days of preschool really made. They are starting to play with each other a little more often, which is really sweet to see, but they are also fighting a lot too. I think since they are so close in age (14 months apart), that is bound to happen. We are keeping busy with gymnastics, time at the splash pad, and lots of playdates with friends!
Haha this picture sums out how we feel some days! Poor little brother. 😉 We do have more on the agenda in July with a couple road trips, one week of camp, and swim lessons, so we are looking forward to all of that! The more activities planned, the better!
I wanted to switch gears a little bit and share what my weekly workouts generally look like! This obviously has a lot of freedom to it and changes if I’m training for a race (which I’m absolutely not in this Texas summer heat). Writing it down holds me accountable and allows me to reflect back on my week exercise-wise. A lot of my energy for workouts depends on how much sleep I’m getting as well. My kids generally sleep great (8pm-7:30am), so for the most part that isn’t a huge issue like it used to be. Little Miss C, had a couple rough nights this week, so I did not get in as many workouts as I would have liked. There are some weeks that I get in 5 workouts and some weeks I get in 3, and I try not to stress about that number too much. I’m at the point where exercise is part of my lifestyle so if there is a day that I’m not feeling it, I don’t do it.
Monday: Teach POP Pilates
Tuesday: Studio Tone It Up Arms Workout
Wednesday: Run a SLOW (thanks humidity) 3 Miles with Paisley (dog) and Donovan.
Thursday: Teach Stroller Strides & POP Pilates
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: Teach POP Pilates
Sunday: Outdoor Yoga Class
I really like getting in one day of a HIIT type workout and two days of running, so that will be my goal for next week. I don’t work out at a gym, and have been using the Tone it Up Studio App for my “classes.” It has been fantastic for the stage of life that I am in, and I don’t see transitioning from that anytime soon. I can do the TIU workout of the day or search on demand for anything I want (total body, arms, legs, yoga etc). I will have to devote a separate post on the app in the near future! 🙂
Thank you for popping in and I hope everyone has a great Monday!
